The Library is named after Mr.Graig Harvey of Madura Mills Co. Ltd., Madurai, whose munificent bequest of Rs.1,00,000 helped the college to erect a separate block from which the library presently functions. The foundation stone was laid by Sir.C.V.Raman in 1947 and later, His Excellency the Maharaja of Bhavnagar, the then governor of Madras opened the building in 1949. The College has a very good collection of textbook purchased under various grants of U.G.C and autonomy and these are housed in the respective department for easy access.

We have a Local Area Network installed in the library with a server and three workstations. The books and non-book materials have been bar-coded and almost all the modules in the library have been automated. Broadband Internet connection for the library is on the cards. Card catalogues are also being maintained and the books are classified according to Colon Classification.
